Chesed Shel Emes is the community Chevra Kadisha/Burial Society. Staff is on call 24/7 to provide assistance at me of need. Our name, Chesed Shel Emes (CSE), translates from Hebrew as “true loving kindness”, a term used to describe the act of caring for the dead, which includes safekeeping and ritual preparation according to Halachic tradition. We work cooperatively in the community to ensure that a Jewish burial is available to every Jewish person. No one is refused service based on finances. We also provide education and resources to the Jewish and general communities on all topics related to Jewish death and mourning.
